Brown Jordan x The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum

Our iconic Walter Lamb collection is installed on the grounds of the prestigious contemporary art museum in Connecticut.

Museum Worthy: The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in Connecticut Selects Brown Jordan’s Walter Lamb Collection for their Outdoor Spaces

Blurring the lines between art and design, Brown Jordan furnished the outdoor spaces of The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in Ridgefield, Connecticut using pieces from our iconic Walter Lamb collection. These objects of beauty are now on display, encouraging museum guests to sit, relax, and enjoy the grounds and surroundings.

Founded by art collector and fashion designer Larry Aldrich in 1964, The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum is one of the oldest contemporary art museums in the United States, and was among the first to exhibit now-acclaimed artists such as Frank Stella (1965), Robert Smithson (1966), Eva Hesse (1969), Jack Whitten (1972), Jean-Michel Basquiat (1983), Cindy Sherman (1986), Robert Gober (1988), Kerry James Marshall (1996), and Jeffrey Gibson (2006), among many others. Brown Jordan strives to make furniture that looks like art so when we were invited to furnish the outdoor spaces of the museum we thought immediately of our sculptural, mid-century modern collection by Walter Lamb.
